If you are tired of using the same ol ways of finding inspiration, then this post is for you!

For instance, Human beings waste tons of time doing unneeded things. I for one find myself working hard in the morning and afternoon. After 6:00 pm I immediately start to lose interest in my work. I am one of those lucky few that have found what it is I want to do for the rest of my life. But after 6:00, my mind wanders. I lose focus. I want to play a game or listen to music. I end up doing something unproductive. Why?
We’re only human beings. We’re not super computers dedicated to productivity. I’ve actually found it healthy to distract myself from my desk for a couple of hours, or even a whole day, as hard as that is. When I come back to my computer and fire up Thunderbird, Dreamweaver, and Firefox, I’ve got this new urge to get stuff done.
I kinda hope I feel that way all the time. But I’ve yet to find something that does that for me. I guess I’m only human after all. No surprise there.
These are my top ways I find inspiration:
Waste time on purpose – Whenever I start feeling the urge to give up, do something else, or find something that is much more entertaining. I do it. I know that sort of sounds retarded. But listen, take that plunge. Realize that you are literally wasting valuable time. Once that craving is satisfied, get back on track.
Listen to the right Music – My work Computer is what it is, a work computer. It doesn’t hurt to have some good music. As long as it’s used for relaxo time. That’s right, relax time. Take a minute or two to listen to one or two good songs that will relax your mind and take it for a quick spin.
Ambitious Imagination
– Take a second to imagine what it is that you want to achieve. Buy a house? A car? A New MAC book pro, or an iPhone? Whatever it is, use it.
e-Mail Power
– Establish good online relationships! Listen, there’s nothing better than being independent. But just like everything it has its drawbacks. Remember working at a company, remember your co-workers? The ones that always do their best to get promoted? Well that doesn’t exist when work is done online. The closest (and in my opinion better) thing to it are productive online co-workers. These are the people you e-mail with a new scheme of doing things, new ideas, new analysis, new coding. Whenever I get in the mail something about a possible client, or about a new SEO method, it certainly gets my mind racing.
YouTube – This might only apply to a couple of people. The other day I was watching YouTube about someone coding a web site. I had completely drawn a blank on my current project at the time but after watching this video I immediately started coding. It gave me a sense of community, knowing that someone out there is also trying to achieve exactly the same thing. Ever since then this is one of my favorite, and weird, ways of finding inspiration.
This is my personal blog about Multilingual SEO and Web Design, and of course random stuff about myself.
