We are now finished with the overall design and basic programming for e-commerce functionality is complete. So far so good. The client also wanted Ad Sense somewhere on the site. Figured on the right, a vertical banner will suffice, under the shopping cart link. Now… this will be on hold for a couple of days since we have been asked to wait for a list of more products to add, and the prices of the ones we’ve already added are basically missing. Some products are imported from Italy, and we have received product specs in Italian. So… we are also waiting a translation.
Everything is being done in Spanish. I can’t wait for the overall look to shine so that we can begin on Spanish SEO. David has though of some pretty great ideas on how to promote Spanish sites, but that’s confidential info. SEO will be done strictly in Spanish so I will steer away of anything English related, and try to promote a lot of Colombian sites towards this one in the near future. A couple of local press releases will help as well. Google, Yahoo, and MSN are all we need for this project. Also, since this is a huge project, there will be a couple of more updates on it. SO far phase one is done.
For now I will work on the company site and touch it up a bit. I’ve ignored it for the past 3 weeks due to this project taking up much of my time. I will edit the CSS and add more content, and probably mess with the footer at the bottom. We’ll see how that goes. I’m also working on getting a post finished for Snap2Objects. Mao and I have partnered up to become guest bloggers. WOOT! Anyways, more on that in the future.
This is my personal blog about Multilingual SEO and Web Design, and of course random stuff about myself.

Age you going to include website localization of Spanish sites (sorry for dublication) in this project?

Hey sorry for the late reply, your comment got caught in the SPAM! Good thing I checked.
Yes, the target is mainly Colombian sites. I’ll do some press releases. Well at least the hard part of creating the site is finished, all that remains is to add the products and the content.
I’m really bummed out that this project is still on HOLD for all the translations they need to do. From Italian to Spanish, there seem to be close to 100 products.
